What is Management Training in Hotel Industry?

If the organization wants to sustain itself in the competitive market and run smoothly then they require a skillful workforce in order to remain a successful player. Due to lack of training and development at the workplace, the organization remains out of the line and within some years they get washout. Training, Learning, and development is an essential process that should be cautiously designed and implemented within all firms. It is a part of human resource development, along with other human resources activities such as recruitment, selection, and compensation. The organizations have to provide the employees with knowledge, skills, and attitudes that will improve their current or future job performance. They are been trained in the entire related department with the right training methods, the training specialist trained all the pros and cons and effectiveness of each training method.

How to prepare for an Interview to get a Management Trainee job?

At the time of hotel management studies, you have to collect maximum knowledge and experience. The Management trainee is supposed to be trained in the entire department, for that management trainee should have basic knowledge on

Food Production knowledge of all the 7 continental’s food (at least a few famous foods from each continent), Bakery and confectionery, food costing, yield management.

You’re Qualities – Tell them that you are well organized, highly positive, enjoy challenges, ability to motivate the team, Can deliver consistently high standard services, and had gained extensive knowledge to deliver the best of the best services.

Why do you want to work for our hotel?

Study about the hotel history (owner, group, chain, etc) – I want to work for a simple reason that I feel, the service standards you offer to your guests is in line with my high standards and also continually learn, improve and develop is essential which I will get from here.

How to resolve guest complaints?

Step – 1, Calm down the guest, take the guest aside from the other guest and speak softly and show humbleness,

Step-2 Go bottom of the issue to understand the complaint, Give them the options or suggestions once the guest is happy with your option/suggestion. Apologize to them.

Step 3, Find out the first place, how does it occur and trained them how to handle such situation before arise.

 

  1. HOD Round – About area of Interest, You should have maximum knowledge and experience related to your department where you are going to work. Do not forget to utter that “ I am a good and fast learner”.
  2. GM Round – To understand your sense of senses of humor and common sense, start building these basic senses.
  3. PI Interview – CEO/Director/President wants to see you, who is going to work with us. Here your personality, grooming, soft skills, and attitude mean a lot.
